Welcome!  I'm a mama, a wife, an arts manager, fundraiser, yogi, musician, nature lover, photographer, cook, knitter, alternative education enthusiast, and will probably be many other things during my lifetime.  Rarely have I ever sat still.  This blog serves as a place for me to explore, experiment, reflect, and rediscover this life through a new lens.  With the birth and growth of my son, I'm reconnecting to a creative, simple, and inspired energy that I seem to have lost while I was busy...being busy.

The name "This Little Tree House" evolved from the view out of our condo in the Northern VA area.  I've spent many hours watching how the seasons change the large oak tree outside our window, pretending that the tree is an extension of our home.  In some ways, I guess it is. For me, the name encompasses what I hope to create:  a cozy home that encourages simplicity, exploration, imaginative play, and lots of laughter.
